Tempe Tourism & Travel Guide
Welcome to Tempe!
As one of Arizona's largest cities, Tempe combines the amenities of a commercial center with the charm and hospitality of a small town. Old Town Tempe is an entertainment and cultural district featuring boutiques, restaurants and shops housed in restored historic buildings. The city has a total of 43 parks abounding with recreational opportunities, the most famous of which is the Kiwanis Community Park, home to the world's second largest indoor/outdoor wave pool. Tempe is known for its great variety of events and festivals, namely the Tempe Fiesta Bowl Block Party, a New Year's Eve celebration boasting over 40 bands, fireworks, carnival rides and souvenir booths. The party serves as preparation for the annual Fiesta Bowl college football game, which draws tens of thousands of people to the area at the start of the New Year. With nearly 300 sunny days a year and a vast array of events and attractions, Tempe is sure to provide a memorable vacation experience.
